Courses are taught online by Instructors who are credentialed GAPS Certified Grant Specialists and have a minimum of 10 years' experience writing/managing grants, nonprofit management, and working in the public safety sector.
Trainings may include several modules. Modules will include informative videos and/or webinars for better understanding of the materials. Assignments are designed to reinforce learnings providing the ability to practice concepts with Instructor response. Students will receive feedback on each assignment within three business days of assignment submission. GAPS encourages students to open a discussion with their Instructor as they progress through the training.
On-Demand Courses may be purchased at any time. Coursework begins the next business day after purchase. Students will receive an e-mail with the current Module and corresponding Assignment. Once completed, the next Module and Assignment will be forwarded to the student.
Students have a maximum of 90 days to complete all of the online assignments for each course. If additional time is needed, a student may purchase a 90-day extension at any time within one year from the purchase of the online training.
A Certificate of Course Completion will be sent to students who successfully complete all of the course assignments.

Lifecycle of a Nonprofit, Legal Liability, Best Practices in Governance, and Board Development
Module #3 Strategic Planning and Program Evaluation
Develop a Strategic Plan, Evaluate each program using a Mission Money Matrix, and Tactical Action Planning.
Module #4 Finance Basics
Essentials of Good Financial Management, Budget/Programs, Net Assets, Unrestricted vs Restricted Funds, Asset Protection, and Fraudulent Activities
Module #5 Revenue Streams
Exploring Fundraising options, Grants, and Corporate Giving
Module assignments include worksheets, drafting official documents, Video and Mini-Webinars.
GAPS Grant Specialists will earn 3 renewal credits upon completion of this course.

Students who need additional time may purchase a 90-day extension for $50.00 at any time within one year from the purchase of the on-demand course. A maximum of two 90-day extensions may be purchased.
